At Seopjikoji, there is a rock that looks like a standing person. This rock is called Sondol Rock. There is a long-standing legend associated with it.

 

According to the legend, the youngest son of the sea king fell in love with a celestial maiden, meaning an angel from the East. He could have the opportunity to marry her if he devoted himself for 100 days. However, he failed to complete the conditions, and the celestial maiden returned to heaven. The sea king's youngest son, heartbroken, waited for her to return, standing still until he turned into a rock.

 

People believe that this rock embodies love and earnest longing. Therefore, it is said that if you swear love in front of this Sondol Rock and get married later, you will have excellent children.
